Meryl has spent most of her adult working life training adults in accounting software. She has trained people ranging from those whose use of computers is fairly sophisticated to those who have never used a computer before.
Eleven years ago, she and her husband Terry left South Africa to start a new life in England and they recognised the need to assist people who have not had the opportunity to learn computers to become competent and confident in their use. Meryl’s 84 year-old mother brought this to her attention when she arrived back from a visit to Australia with a laptop and a desire to learn how to communicate with family over there. She needed to e-mail, download photos, and use internet phones and has now decided she needs to do Internet banking.
